I want ALTO Network to be at the very forefront in addressing these urgent challenges. Not only through the technology we create, but through the values we represent, and the working practices that we employ across the breadth of our operations. For us, that means we have a responsibility to act in a way that benefits people, not just through our solutions and services but through our values.
Since we are moving into the age of convenience at a phenomenal pace. We set our goal to provide the effortless and convenient solutions and services for our clients to use. We are making significant investments into facilities, equipments, business systems, resources and researches to enable us to provide innovations and timely business services to our clients. This is incredibly exciting as the paradigm is shifting and changing business dynamics in an opportunistic way, which will allow us to differentiate from the competition and lead the market by exceeding customer expectations. The future will be the era of frictionless transaction solution, delivered through financial technology services. The Evolution of Payments System
The Birth of ALTO Network
The story of ALTO Network begins in 1993. Rudy Ramly as the CEO of Bali Bank found an idea to build an ATM switching company to provide solution for bank’s customers to enhance their banking activities. He initiated a joint venture with Lippo Bank and Internasional Indonesia Bank (BII) in creating PT Daya Network Lestari.
A year later, 3 other banks joined in as member. They are Panin Bank, Danamon Bank and Artha Graha Bank. It didn’t take long, however, for the company to outgrow its first office and to expand its capabilities in leading banking switching trend in Indonesia.
Entering the Independent ATM Deployment business
Fuelled by the insatiable demand for easier banking transaction, PT Daya Network Lestari enhance the potential business in ATM sector. In 2005 it started its debut in ATM deployer business. It managed and drove over 350 ATM around Jakarta. PT Daya Network Lestari soon became the standard for ATM operation in Jakarta especially and in Indonesia generally.
Changing company name
In 2007 PT Daya Network Lestari changed its name to ALTO Network as a part of its push to better reflect its business into a wider field of technology for finance and banking industry. ALTO Network sounds good, unique, and easy to remember.
Accepting Cross Border Remittance
In 2008 ALTO Network received license from Bank Indonesia for Remittance. It was successful in serving and facilitating fund transfer across the countries. ALTO Network managed to accept incoming cross border remittance from 5 countries: Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Hongkong, and Taiwan. ALTO Network continues its experience of success through Remittance service through the expansion of more incoming countries acceptance and customers trust.
Biller Gateway System
In 2012, ALTO Network strengthened its position as one of leading payment system provider by delivering biller gateway system to it’s member. This service takes the clients to elevate their steps in payment gateway business.
Joint Venture “7 Banks” and creating PT Abadi Tambah Mulia Internasional (ATMi)
In 2013, ALTO Network conducted a joint venture with Seven Bank. t is a subsidiary Seven & I Holdings Co., Ltd. (parent company of 7-Eleven Japan and Ito Yokado). This joint venture created a new company named PT Abadi Tambah Mulia Internasional (PT.ATMi). PT ATMi established its business as Independent ATM Network provider in Indonesia.
It obtained a PMA Principle License from BKPM on March 11, 2014. PT. ATMi was established based on the notarial deed of Mala Mukti S.H., LL. M dated May 26, 2014 and received approval from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia on June 10, 2014. PT. ATMi obtained a business license from BKPM on September 12, 2014 through Industrial Business License Number 1321/1 / IU / PMA / 2014. On August 5, 2015, PT. ATMi installed its first ATM, and up to the end of December 2018, 100 ATM units owned by PT. ATMs have been installed in various locations scattered in the JABODETABEK area.
Operate Gerbang Pembayaran Nasional (GPN) implementation
In 2017 ALTO Network is trusted by Bank Indonesia to develop and implement the National Payment Gateway (GPN). ALTO is more than ready to support and strengthen GPN’s debit transaction processing services, especially in terms of technical, business and compliance.
Changing logo
In 2017 ALTO Network changed its’ logo. It does not take lot of changes, only changing the colour position of the logo. The new logo has the blue colour above and the red colour under. The reason ALTO changed its logo is to avoid “brand fatigue”. It is also become a signal a big shift in the company’s strategy or offering to adjust the digital market world.
Invested by Djarum Group
At the same year of 2018, ALTO Network made a huge step by receiving investment from Djarum Group. Through Djarum Group ALTO manage to handle the interconnection of Bank Central Asia (BCA), the largest bank in Indonesia. The investment outgrows ALTO’s Network business and turn it into the leading payment system solution provider not only for banks but also for non-banks institutions. By taking the brand of BCA, ALTO Network is capable to attract clients to be its member domestically and globally.
iDebit innovation
In 2018, ALTO Network expanded its service portfolio by developing iDebit, a not present card solution to perform seamless online payment. ALTO Network created world-class payment solution systems to answer the need of financial system future challenge.
Additional investment from ATM Japan
In 2013, ALTO Network conducted a joint venture with Seven Bank to create PT Abadi Tambah Mulia Internasional (PT.ATMi). This company has shown its business establishment that attracts investor to join in. In 2019 ATM Japan, Ltd decided to join in strengthen ATMi’s business. This investment will for sure boost the company to achieve its ambitious goals.
